Whats up guys the blog that I made today is serious. You all should really read it for you to be aware on the condition of people incarcerated at young age. Also my blog is about my opinion to the lowering age of criminal responsibility and my reactions to the video that I watched.
I watched a video interview, Rep. Doy Leachon was agree to lower the age of criminal responsibility to nine years old. Youth who committed a crime will be under Bahay Pagasa.But in the interview of Dr. Liane Peña Alampay the brain of 9 years old are still developing and the reason why children commit a crime it is because of their surrounding. She was not agree to lower the age of criminal responsibility because she believe that children who commit a crime dont know what are they doing or they dont know what is right and wrong
I also watched a music video entitled ” Isa pang Pagkakataon”. The music video shows children who commit a crime but the message of the video is it wants us to give another chance to the youth who committed a crime because there is always room for changes. They are also a victim.
At first I am agree to lower the age of criminal responsibility because the children will go to Bahay Pagasa but after I watched a video I discover that we dont have enough Bahay Pagasa facilities and because of that children and adults have the same jail. I also discover the condition of all the children ,they dont have enough food and water. And sometimes they experience sexual abuse. And because of that I am not in favor of lowering the age of criminal responsibility.
The music video is related to my blog topic which is music. I understand the message of the music video which is give chances to the youth who committed a crime because they still have dreams. And also the video shows youth committed a crime because of poverty or their surrounding. I love the tone of the song because it capture my attention to pay attention to the music.
The crime in the Philippines is gradually increasing. But only if parents will guide their children at an early they will not go to the wrong way. Guidance is the key. Parents should send their children to school for them to learn and for them to be educate of good manners and right conduct.
It is related on me because I am also a youth and I know what the youth feel. If I am on their situation like on the video that I watched I will feel that there is no hope for me. Maybe they have reasons why they do a crime. We all deserve a chance.
The video increase my understanding in the Juvenile law because honestly I didnt know that law at first. But now I understand that a person who committed a crime at their young age will be under Bahay Pagasa. But sometimes they are not taken care of in Bahay Pagasa. Goverment should establish more Bahay Pagasa.
So guys If I were you I will watch the video that I watched. If you want to understand the Juvenile Law you must watch the video. And you can also make a blog about that. You can write your position if you are agree or disagree to lower the age of criminal responsibility to nine years old.
